Nearly all of woodwork involves joining pieces of wood together.
A successful woodwork joint is about strength and appearance.
Different types of woodwork joints have been developed over the years for different purposes.
For example - Lengthening, Right-angle joints & Case joints
Join Anna for a two day class learning the basics of western joinery and Japanese joinery
Each class will have a maximum of three people
What will you learn?
Introduction to woodwork and marking up joints techniques
The basics of how to prepare your own timber stock
Measuring and marking out tools
Learn about different hand woodwork tools - Saws, chisels and planes
Learn how to make a mitred box
Learn how to make a dovetail joint and a phone stand
Learn how to make a mortise & tenon and a small table
Learn how to make a Japanese stacked mortise and tenon joint
